All the socks

I love washing day and seeing all my hand knitted socks hanging on the line in a row.  I have added a few pairs to the mix over the past few months.

Three of the pairs have been for Hubby as he donated some of his pairs to me as they were a bit small for him.  First off the needles was a pair that unfortunately didn’t match as I used 50g balls and didn’t check the dye lot when I brought them.  I used Countrywide Happy Feet shade 35 for these ones.  I still think they look okay, you can’t always have matching socks apparently!

The second pair actually matched even though these were also made from 50g balls and they were also different dye lots.  One of the balls had grey flecks through it but they are so light you can hardly notice them.  I used Scheepjes Downtown in colourway Industrial Terrain and the yarn is lovely and soft but was a bit splitty.

Last pair for Hubby are my favourite of the three and these ones are made with West Yorkshire Spinners 8 ply sock in colourway Punk.

And a pair for me made from scraps.  I used the leftover yarn from making my Lento sweater which was Yarn Floozy Machinist in colourway Sodalite paired with West Yorkshire Spinners Signature 4 ply Country Birds in Pheasant and Blue Tit.  I call these my party in your shoes socks cause all the action is hidden away.
