Peanut butter flavour experiment

Have you spied that Fix and Fogg have a new flavour out?  Of course I had to try to recreate it at home.  I haven’t tried their one but my version was pretty tasty so here is the recipe for you to try at home.

Granola Butter

50g raw cashew nuts
500g raw peanuts
150g raw sunflower seeds
50g rolled oats
1/4 cup dessicated coconut
3 tsp chia seeds
1 tsp cocoa powder
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp sugar
salt to taste

Pre heat the oven to 150 degrees C. Tip the peanuts, cashews and sunflower seeds into a shallow baking tray and pop into the oven to roast. You will need to keep an eye on them to make sure they dont burn. Take them out after the first ten minutes and give them a mix and then every 5 mins after that until you have achieved a desirable level of roasting. Leave to cool.

While the nuts are cooling, toast your oats and coconut in a pan and put to one side to cool.

Once the nuts are cool, tip them into a food processor and follow the process for making my homemade peanut butter.  When you get to the stage where you have added the oil and it looks like peanut butter, add in all of the other ingredients except the salt and give it a quick waz up to mix it all together.  Add the salt to taste, pop into your hot jar and you are done.

Deeeeeelish!
