Gifts for a nephew

A little while ago, I became an Auntie for the tenth time.  A new baby is always a good excuse for crafting right?  So a deep dive into the stash was in order.

First up was a pebble vest with matching hat and booties.  I used up a bunch of scraps for these.  The pebble vest pattern is available for free and is quick and easy to knit and makes a great baby gift.  I have knitted a few of these over the years.

I also knitted another pebble using larger needles so that it would fit for a bit longer, also with scraps from my stash.

And so the sewing machine didn’t feel too neglected, I made him a quilt as well.  Some of the fabric I used was from my stash and I used a polar fleece blanket for the batting to make it light weight and warm.   The backing fabric was from my stash.  I just couldn’t resist those racoons, so cute!

His mum was thrilled, I think she secretly wanted to keep the quilt for herself!
