Charity Knitting

I had a big bag of yarn leftover from 5 blankets that I had crocheted over the past couple of years so I decided to use it up knitting beanies for a local organisation, Crafting Threads of Aroha, who coordinates items to give out to local charities.  I always try to do some knitting for charity each year as a way of giving back to the community.  Last year I knitted bears for kids in Ukraine and have also done booties and beanies in the past.   I managed to get 10 made, 9 knitted and 1 crocheted and am happy to say that I used up every last bit of yarn I had in my bag.  I dropped them off a couple of weeks ago so they are hopefully keeping some heads warm now that the weather has turned cold.
