60’s vintage vibe

I recently borrowed a copy of North and South magazine from a work colleague and there was a great article in there about Diane Ludwig and her love of vintage fashion.  She rescues vintage pieces and sells them on her Instagram account Welcome Back Slow Fashion.  I started following her after reading the article and was recently lucky enough to snap up one of her finds (you have to be quick, most things sell as soon as she posts them).  I managed to score this super cute 60’s style crochet dress which has been lovingly handmade.

Now anyone who knows me will know that I detest the colour pink.  My mum used to make all our clothes when we were little and for some reason I always got the pink dress while my sister got whatever other colour was going.  I previously had zero pink items in my wardrobe.  I thought I would dye this but when it arrived and I tried it on, the colour looked rather good on me so pink it stayed.  I love the detail of the covered buttons at the back and the flare of the skirt.  I am proud to say that I now have something pink in my wardrobe but I think it will definately be the only thing that colour!
