June Project Round-up
June was a super productive month! I made another A line skirt and a matching vest from some lovely soft and super warm wool that I got at the local second hand fabric sale. It was 2 metres for $20 so I had just enough. The vest pattern is vintage Simplicity 8155 (1979) that I got from the Op Shop. It had been cut out but it was my size and it fits me perfectly.
I finished another pair of socks for me. Yarn is Broadway Yarns in colour way Tango Time. I have worn and washed them once and they are so soft!
I have a few knitting projects on the go at the moment including some 8 ply socks. I didn’t want to keep them in my normal sock project bag and all of my other project bags were occupied so I whipped up a new one. The outside fabric is an off cut from a skirt I made ages ago and decided was too long so took a considerable chunk off the bottom and the lining is leftover from a dress I made. Gotta love a stashbuster!
While I was at it, I whipped up some notions pouches as well. I use these in my project bags for keeping my scissors, stitch markers, tape measure etc in.
I also picked up some pink canvas for $10 at the fabric sale and I used it to make a Town Bag and matching Field Bag from Grainline Studios for my sister.
I replenished my dishcloth stash and made a Fish and Chip vest for my mum’s Charity knitting group
And finally, I made some Xmas decorations for my Sewing Group pals, reusing some cotton reels I had been saving.
