I have been wanting to try knitting some 8 ply socks for a while but struggled to find any 8 ply sock yarn here in NZ.  West Yorkshire Spinners recently released a new range of 8 ply sock yarn so I ordered a ball from Good Wool Hunting and printed out the Winwick Mum Basic 8 ply sock pattern and got to work.  I have to say I am hooked on these as they have less stitches and knit up super fast.  I used colour way “Rock” (they are all named after music) and these ones are for Hubby.

I went to Capital Fibre Fest earlier this year and got myself another ball of 8 ply sock yarn.  This time I got Opal in colour way Frosty Ice and I finished my pair this morning using the same pattern.

I love the colour of these ones, nice and bright!
