Everyone has their favourite way to make porridge and I thought I would share mine with you. It takes 5 mins to make and is a delicious and hearty breakfast.
Place 1/2 cup of rolled oats into a microwave proof bowl and add 1 cup of water and a pinch of salt. Microwave for 2 mins. Stir in a handful of sultanas and 1/8 teaspoon of spice of choice (my fav is cardamon but ginger, nutmeg and cinnamon all work well) and return to the microwave for a further 2 mins. Add a splash of milk and some fresh fruit. Devour greedily.
